david DYCHES

David Dyches is a solid kicking prospect who spent his first three collegiate years at the University of Nebraska after being one of the most highly recruited kickers in the country out of Westfield High School in Houston, TX. Dyches finished his playing career at the University of Northern Colorado. In four years of collegiate football, Dyches finished his career with a perfect record in PATs, a successful kick-off career and a field goal success rate of over 65%.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
2006 Season (Northern Colorado)
- Scored 33 points and ended his college career without missing a PAT;
- Had a breakthrough game at Sacramento State, going 3-for-3 on field goal attempts for Northern Colorado's only points of the game.
- Converted on a career long 48-yard field goal against #19 Montana State;
- Averaged 55.7 yard on kickoffs.
2005 Season (Nebraska)
- Averaged 59.2 yards on kickoffs.
2004 Season (Nebraska)
- Played in five games, sharing kickoff duties with senior DeAngelis before gaiining the starting place-kicking job for the season's final two games;
- Connected on a 46-yard field goal at Texas Tech;
- Missed only one field goal attempt on the year;
- Averaged 60.7 yards per kickoff.
2003 Season (Nebraska)
- Honorable-Mention Freshman All-American (Rivals.com);
- Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week (Penn State);
- Big 12 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll;
- Played in the final 12 games of his freshman season and was Nebraska's starting place-kicker for the final 11 games;
- Connected on 14 of 21 field goals to tie the Husker freshman field goal record;
- Perfect on 32 PAT attempts and led Huskers in scoring with 74 points;
- 14 field goals were the fourth most in Big 12 and average of 1.17 placed him 35th nationally; Hit 4 of 5 field goals against Penn State, including a season-long 45-yarder to become the third Husker kicker and first freshman to connect on four or more field goals in a game;
- Made a season-high five extra points against both Southern Miss and Texas A&M.

- Ranked as No. 12 kicker in the nation (Rivals.com);
- Played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in January 2003 and connected on a 42-yard field goal;
- One of the most highly recruited kickers in the country, Dyches was Nebraska's first scholarship place-kicker in three seasons;
- Also a two-year starter for Westfield's baseball team.
